LearnShift was founded to give education leaders a practitioner-led alternative to vendor-driven AI hype — advisory rooted in classrooms, boardrooms and collective agreements, not influencer slogans.
Our origin
Built in Halifax for accountable learning change.
LearnShift Inc. operates from Suite 200 at 1546 Barrington Street in downtown Halifax — a city where universities, colleges, military training programmes and growing tech employers share the same talent pipeline. We saw leadership teams rushed into tool purchases without governance, and faculty pressured to "just figure it out" while integrity offices scrambled to catch up.
We are not former influencers repackaged as consultants. Our principals bring backgrounds in higher-education leadership, instructional design, K-12 curriculum policy and corporate L&D — people who have sat in accreditation reviews, union consultations and budget committees. AI is a new variable in old responsibilities: student safety, academic honesty, staff development and public trust.
