From 14 pilot tools to one governed framework
A mid-sized university arrived with separate AI experiments running in six faculties, no central disclosure standard and conflicting guidance for students. LearnShift facilitated a senate-ready governance pack: acceptable-use principles, assignment disclosure templates, a faculty review workflow and a staged tool-approval process.
Within two academic terms the institution consolidated to four approved tools with documented review gates. Faculty survey data (internal, not published by LearnShift) suggested improved confidence in discussing AI with students — we make no claim that grades or attrition improved as a direct result.
