FAQ
Questions education leaders ask before they call.
Straight answers about what LearnShift is, how we work with AI, and what we will never do.
Is LearnShift an online course platform, a bootcamp with guaranteed jobs, or a 'shift your life' coaching brand?
No. LearnShift is an AI transformation advisory for K-12 boards, post-secondary institutions, vocational trainers, EdTech vendors and corporate learning teams. We help leadership plan, govern and enable responsible AI adoption with educators accountable at every step. We are not an accredited institution, we do not grant degrees or credentials, we do not sell self-serve online courses to the public, and we do not promise employment outcomes. "Shift" refers to organizational learning change — not personal life coaching.
What services does LearnShift actually provide?
Six integrated disciplines: AI-readiness and transformation strategy; governance, policy and academic integrity design; educator and trainer enablement; learning analytics interpretation; tool evaluation and integration guidance; and stewardship retainers. See our Services page for detail.
Do you write essays, complete assignments or take exams for students?
Never. We support academic integrity and refuse any request that would misrepresent student authorship or circumvent assessment. If you are a student seeking assignment help, LearnShift cannot assist.
How does AI fit into your advisory work?
We use AI internally to draft workshop outlines, policy templates and analytics summaries — always reviewed by qualified staff before delivery to clients. We teach clients similar workflows with mandatory human approval for learner-facing outputs. AI can be inaccurate; educator judgment is the control mechanism.
What does an AI-readiness review cost?
Half-day reviews typically start from C$4,200; full-day sessions from C$7,800 — plus travel when on-site outside Halifax. The review produces a prioritized action map, not a binding multi-year contract. Formal project estimates follow discovery.
What do larger engagements cost?
Governance and enablement programmes commonly range from C$22,000–C$65,000 depending on scope and duration. Stewardship retainers often start near C$5,800 per month for quarterly steering and office hours. All figures are illustrative — we provide written estimates after understanding your context.
Do you guarantee improved grades, completion rates or job placements?
No. We advise on process, policy and capability. Outcomes depend on your implementation, learner population and external factors we do not control. Case studies on our Work page describe illustrative process changes — not promised results.
How do you handle personal information?
Under PIPEDA and our Privacy Policy. We collect only what is needed to respond to enquiries and deliver contracts. We apply heightened safeguards for information about minors. Contact forms require explicit consent before submission.
Are you affiliated with software vendors?
We do not accept reseller commissions that would compromise recommendations. We may evaluate tools your team is already considering and document integration risks — neutrally.
Can you work remotely outside Halifax?
Yes. Many engagements blend secure video sessions with on-site workshops when travel is justified. We serve clients across Canada with particular depth in Atlantic provinces.
